The Publican barley used for this edition was grown in field 43ac and harvested at the end of August 2009. It was dried and stored on the farm before being malted at Alloa in 2010. The single malt comes from twenty-seven first-fill bourbon casks, distilled in December 2011. It was aged in the upper part of the cellar until 2024, before being bottled.

This Cognac comes from a winegrower in the town of Pessines, in Charente-Maritime, a few kilometers from the town of Saintes. Benefiting from a minimum age guarantee of 33 years, it is a cognac which was produced by a producer who is now retired. The attention he paid to aging is remarkable, with the use of new, high-quality barrels at the start of aging.
At each stage of the tasting, Oban surprises with its character halfway between land and sea. It is a reflection of the terroir from which this malt comes: the Western Highlands.
