In Taiwan's hot and humid subtropical climate, temperatures inside warehouses can reach up to 42°C, and the angel's share can reach 12% per year. To combat this evaporation, the Kavalan distillery unveiled a third concrete warehouse at the end of 2022, equipped with a ventilation system, larger than the combined size of the first two five-story warehouses. This particularly expansive version, aged in one of the old warehouses, goes beyond its natural limits to brilliantly demonstrate how aging in port barrels suits Kavalan perfectly.
