Alfred Gratien is a prestigious Champagne house founded in 1864 in Épernay, at the heart of the Champagne region in France. Since its inception, the house has maintained a steadfast commitment to traditional and artisanal winemaking methods, setting it apart in the world of Champagne. Alfred Gratien, the son of a cooper, established the house in 1864. He implemented winemaking principles that are still upheld today, including respect for the terroir, rigorous grape selection, and the art of blending.
Assemblage 2015 is produced exclusively from first press, from 8 great terroirs of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%), 20% of which are vinified in small old oak barrels. Eight years of aging in the cellar, including 12 months minimum of storage after disgorging, allow it to develop a feeling of gluttony and concentration served by a persistent saline freshness.
Cuvée created in tribute to the founder of the House: William Deutz. A Wine that stands out from the range by its fugue and its distinction. The blend is precise and intense revealing a complex aromatic palette and a soft and silky material.
Krug 2011 is the result of a contrasting and surprising year characterized by its chiseled roundness. The complex blend acquired its balance and finesse during the 13 years spent in aging cellars. An ample, generous and assertive Champagne.
Association with the press of 2 adjoining plots located in the heart of the Pierry terroir: Les Tartières and Les Porgeons planted in 1990 and 1985. Pure expression of the complexity, between flesh and tension, of Chardonnays from Coteaux Sud of Epernay.
