The name of this cuvée comes from green clays. The soils are shallow, with very draining limestone marl, and always a thick vein of green clay, called "Illite" in pedology. Over long periods of drought, especially in summer, green clay is the only soil where moisture persists. The finesse and purity of these clays ensure the water supply to the grapes.
