Zacapa Solera Grand Reserva is made using an aging process derived from the “sistema solera” technique, during which rums of different ages and profiles are blended and then aged in a succession of barrels. The first casks were used to preserve robust American whiskeys, the second delicate sherries and the last elegant wines from Pedro Ximenez.
