Tequila
A true emblem of Mexico, tequila is a premium spirit distilled from blue agave (Agave Tequilana Weber). Produced primarily in the state of Jalisco and select surrounding regions, it holds a protected designation of origin (PDO) that ensures its authenticity and quality.
Tequila is available in different categories, each with unique flavor profiles:
• Blanco (or Silver) Tequila: Unaged, it showcases fresh, herbal, and vegetal notes—perfect for cocktails like the Margarita.
• Reposado Tequila: Aged between 2 and 12 months in oak barrels, it develops smooth hints of vanilla, caramel, and spices.
• Añejo Tequila: Aged for 1 to 3 years, it offers remarkable complexity with notes of oak, cocoa, and dried fruits.
• Extra Añejo Tequila: Aged for over 3 years, it rivals the finest spirits, revealing deep aromas of oak, leather, and sweet spices.
Tequila is incredibly versatile—enjoy it neat, in cocktails, or with a dash of lime and a pinch of salt, following Mexican tradition. Known for its aromatic richness and diversity, it appeals to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
