In his quest to discover extraordinary casks that could unlock new flavours for Glenmorangie, Dr Bill has always been captivated by the spice markets of the world – alive with heady aromas and vibrant colours.
Inspired to craft a whisky as rich and diverse as those bustling markets, he teamed up with Master Blender Gillian Macdonald for a pioneering experiment: finishing bourbon-matured Glenmorangie in four different cask types (Moroccan red wine, new charred oak, toasted red wine, and Pedro Ximénez sherry), for the very first time.
From this remarkable combination emerges a Glenmorangie of unique complexity – fragrant, sweet, and spicy. A Tale of Spices brims with sweet spice, lifted by floral notes of rose and jasmine, sugar-dusted almonds, and a refreshing hint of eucalyptus.
