Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition is a blend of 150 wines from 13 different years, with the youngest from 2017 and the oldest from 2001. Maison Krug – The Art of Champagne Excellence
Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, Maison Krug follows a unique vision: to craft the most generous expression of Champagne, regardless of climatic variations. Staying true to this philosophy, Krug creates wines of unparalleled richness and complexity by blending a mosaic of wines from different years and parcels.
Krug is one of the few houses to vinify each parcel separately in small oak casks, preserving the authenticity and individuality of each terroir. This artisanal approach imparts exceptional depth, silky texture, and remarkable aging potential to Krug champagnes.
Its iconic Krug Grande Cuvée is re-created every year from a blend of approximately 120 wines spanning more than 10 vintages, ensuring timeless richness and elegance. Other cuvées, such as Krug Rosé, Krug Vintage, and the prestigious Krug Clos du Mesnil, each highlight a unique facet of the house’s craftsmanship.
Renowned as the connoisseur’s champagne, Krug captivates lovers of excellence worldwide with its boldness, complexity, and unmistakable signature. Each bottle offers a unique sensory experience, where the “music of wine” plays in perfect harmony.
Agrapart Terroirs is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne from the Grands Crus terroirs of Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry. The cuvée is non-vintage because it is blended with grand cru reserve wines, half aged in demi-muids.
Cuvée 748 from Maison Jacquesson is made from the 2020 harvest of the Ay, Dizy Hautvillers and Champillon terroirs (55%) and the Avize and Oiry terroirs (45%). A few reserve wines from the Domaine complete the blend.
The Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill, a prestige cuvée from Maison Pol Roger, was created as a tribute to Sir Winston Churchill, with as references the qualities he appreciated in Champagne: robustness, structure and maturity. Even if its exact composition is a secret jealously kept by the members of the Pol-Roger family, it is undeniable that it is based on a formula that its...
