The Frédéric Cossard Estate, located in the heart of Burgundy, embodies a unique and natural approach to winemaking. A former wine merchant turned passionate vigneron, Frédéric Cossard produces wines without additives or added sulfur, strictly respecting nature’s rhythm. Fifty-year-old vine, in a single block, located on the hillside, near Pommard 1er cru Pezerolles and Épenots. Rich wine with lots of character. Mixture of red and black fruits with a slightly wild touch. Silky attack, with very present aromas, giving it a good length at the end of the mouth.
Deep bouquet with notes of black fruits combined with smoky and woody touches. On the palate, its rich and generous flesh is supported by a well-marked tannin structure. A wine that faithfully expresses the strong personality of its terroir. Very good aging potential.
The first traces of vineyards in the town of Aloxe-Corton date back to the 2nd century BC. Later, Corton will be Charlemagne's favorite wine. Unique red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune, Corton is also the only Grand Cru of Côte d'Or to be divided into sub-climates. "Le Corton" designates the historic parcel that gave its name to the Corton appellation.
A single vineyard of around 40 years old located under Le Clos des Avaux next to Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons. Very rich and powerful wine which requires a few years of aging to appreciate it at its true value. Cave Privée Edition limited to 121 bottles only.
