Volnay Clos des Santenots 1er Cru is a 1.19 hectare plot, a monopoly of Domaine Jacques Prieur. This unique terroir is located in the heart of the Santenots du Milieu, on brown soil, rich in manganese, resting on hard limestone, rounded like pierced stones.

Located in the south-west of the village, this climat en Monopole was purchased by the estate in 2003 after a fifty-year lease. It is the smallest appellation in Burgundy - even smaller than Romanée-Conti.

This magnificent Morey-Saint-Denis exudes elegance and finesse, with a silky, satiny texture and a beautiful earthy note.
