Château Sociando-Mallet
The Château Sociando-Mallet, located in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne in the Haut-Médoc, is a renowned wine estate spanning over 50 hectares along the banks of the Gironde. Founded in the 17th century, the estate has gained international acclaim for its elegant, powerful wines known for their exceptional aging potential.
Since 1969, the château has been managed by Jean Gautreau, who revitalized the estate by modernizing its facilities and enhancing its exceptional terroir. The clay-gravel soils and limestone subsoil provide ideal conditions for Médoc’s traditional grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
Château Sociando-Mallet wines stand out for their structure, aromatic complexity, and freshness. The flagship Château Sociando-Mallet impresses with notes of black fruits, spices, and mineral undertones, while the Demi-Sec de Sociando-Mallet offers a more approachable and fruit-forward profile.
Often described as a “great wine outside the classifications,” Sociando-Mallet is cherished by connoisseurs for its outstanding value and timeless character.
