Maison Jacques Selosse – The Avant-Garde of Terroir-Driven Champagne
A true Champagne icon, Maison Jacques Selosse stands at the pinnacle of excellence and audacity, redefining terroir-driven winemaking. Founded in 1959 in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, the house underwent a radical transformation under Anselme Selosse, a pioneer of biodynamic farming and parcel-based vinification in Champagne. Today, his son Guillaume Selosse continues this legacy with the same dedication.
The estate spans 8 hectares, primarily in Grand Cru villages (Avize, Cramant, Oger), with a strong focus on Chardonnay, aiming to reveal the purest expression of terroir. In contrast to conventional Champagne methods, Jacques Selosse embraces techniques inspired by Burgundy: organic viticulture, fermentation in oak barrels, and extended aging on lees, resulting in wines of unparalleled depth and complexity.
Selosse champagnes are intensely expressive, boasting rich textures and a striking aromatic palette where minerality, ripe fruit, oxidative notes, and freshness harmonize. Iconic cuvées include Initial, an introduction to the Selosse universe, Substance, crafted through a solera system for extraordinary depth, and rare single-parcel expressions that pay tribute to exceptional terroirs.
Sought after by connoisseurs worldwide, Jacques Selosse is more than just Champagne—it’s an extraordinary sensory journey, an unmistakable signature that pushes the boundaries of the appellation and redefines the art of sparkling wine.
Gosset 12 ans de cave a minima Rosé is a cuvée which has benefited from 12 years of aging on the lees. The maturity that the wine has acquired in the cellar has allowed it to pass the years while keeping its freshness. The blend is a selection of the best Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs and Pinots Noirs from Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne.
Bruno Paillard Blanc de Noirs is made entirely from the first pressing of pinot noir grapes from four grand crus: Verzenay, Mailly, Verzy and Bouzy. Three of them have a predominantly northern orientation. These ancient limestone soils bring together the elegance and depth of the characteristics of Pinot Noir.
Egly-Ouriet V.P. Extra Brut is a Champagne made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grand Cru from the Egly-Ouriet vineyard in the Montagne de Reims. This Cuvée has the particularity of benefiting from prolonged aging (V.P.).
Henri Giraud Blanc de Craie is an atypical Blanc de Blancs champagne. Made from Chardonnays planted on Pinot Noir terroirs, Maison Henri Giraud makes its difference with a Cuvée full of character and generosity.
Henri Giraud Esprit Nature is the cuvée reflecting the House's commitment to the protection of nature and human health. This is a vision of natural wine. Its emblem, the Paper Oak, tells of the fragility of living things but also of man's ability to reconstruct it.
The name of this climate probably comes from the distortion of the word "perreuse" (stone), the name given to the ancient Roman road whose route passed at the end of the current vineyard. The soil is structured for aging, with dense and compact clay soil resting on a limestone slab, which produces long and elegant wines.
An exceptional vintage, blessed by mild climatic conditions which allowed delicate and progressive maturation of the grapes. Purity, elegance and refinement.
A benchmark in Burgundy, Domaine Leflaive delivers a masterpiece of finesse and precision with this Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles 2008. Sourced from a prestigious vineyard just steps from the Grand Crus, this vintage is defined by its mineral tension, aromatic purity, and layered complexity.
The nose is delicate yet expressive, with notes...
Chateau de Beaucastel Roussanne Vieilles Vignes is considered one of the greatest white wines in France, only 6000 bottles are produced each year. Made only from very old Roussannes vines, picked up slightly over-ripe, this Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is exceptional.
