The Balvenie 21 Years PortWood has benefited from a double maturation: first 21 years minimum in traditional oak barrels then 3-4 months of finishing in Port barrels of at least 40 years old. This Single Malt is the greatest pride of cellar master David Stewart. This is the Balvenie which has won the most awards. This second maturation in Port barrels and its reduction to 40% give it this disconcerting softness and ease.
Balvenie is an exceptional Single Malt which reveals the capital influence of artisanal production on the qualities of a great whisky.
