Meursault is the largest white wine-producing village in the southern Côte de Beaune, near Volnay and Pommard. Its name comes from a type of willow called "Marsault". In the Côte des Vaillons, there are 8 distinct lieux-dits which may be at the origin of this appellation. The nose is pronounced with notes of fruit and flowers, beautiful freshness and minerality. The palate is generous and refined, with a beautiful roundness.
Domaine De Villaine Bouzeron 2022 comes from Aligoté vines located on the best slopes of the Appellation. Since settling in Bouzeron in 1973, the estate has selected the very old Bouzeron vines of so-called "golden" varieties which give smaller yields and finer aromatic wines.
The name of this 1er cru, a monopoly of Domaine Faiveley, probably comes from the English “My Land”, the name given to these places by an English dignitary. This clos produces a powerful, straightforward and balanced wine. 2021 is a fresh and balanced vintage. The volumes are low but the quality is exceptional.
A single vineyard of around 40 years old located under Le Clos des Avaux next to Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons. Very rich and powerful wine which requires a few years of aging to appreciate it at its true value. Cave Privée Edition limited to 121 bottles only.
Deep bouquet with notes of black fruits combined with smoky and woody touches. On the palate, its rich and generous flesh is supported by a well-marked tannin structure. A wine that faithfully expresses the strong personality of its terroir. Very good aging potential.
The first traces of vineyards in the town of Aloxe-Corton date back to the 2nd century BC. Later, Corton will be Charlemagne's favorite wine. Unique red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune, Corton is also the only Grand Cru of Côte d'Or to be divided into sub-climates. "Le Corton" designates the historic parcel that gave its name to the Corton appellation.
