Waterford Micro Cuvée Racines Foundations Single Malt Whisky embodies the innovative philosophy of the Waterford Distillery, a pioneer in exploring the concept of terroir in whisky production. Through its Micro Cuvée series, the distillery highlights the influence of agricultural origins and farming practices on the whisky’s character.
Racines – Foundations cuvée is a precise blend of distillates made from barley grown on distinct terroirs, carefully selected for their individuality and expression. This meticulous blending work aims to reveal the very roots of the whisky.
Founded in 2015 in Ireland by Mark Reynier, Waterford Whisky is a visionary distillery that places terroir at the very heart of its philosophy. Inspired by the world of fine wine, it applies the same rigor to barley: single-farm traceability, sustainable farming, and the unique expression of each terroir.
Each whisky is crafted from barley grown on a single farm, showcasing the aromatic subtleties of its soil and microclimate. Matured in carefully selected oak casks, Waterford whiskies deliver unprecedented depth, remarkable complexity, and full transparency through the innovative “TÉIREOIR CODE” available on every bottle.
Waterford is redefining the art of Irish whisky: modern, authentic, and profoundly connected to its origin.

The strong smoky flavor has been mellowed and matured in previously used bourbon and refill casks, creating a rich and glossy aroma. You can expect to taste thick toffee, vanilla, and coconut flavors, with aromatic spices. The powerful peaty character has been tamed by the oak, resulting in a welcoming sweetness.
