The result of a collaboration between Emma Walker, master blender of the Johnnie Walker distillery, and the famous Japanese chef (3 Michelin stars) Kei Kobayashi, this unique liquid captures the elusive and enigmatic taste of umami, otherwise called "fifth taste".

Knockando Master Reserve 21 years old is a single malt with a triple maturation: first and second in Bourbon barrels and third in Sherry barrels. This particularity gives it a surprisingly soft depth and woody structure.

Glenfiddich 23 Years Grand Cru is a blend of whiskies aged for at least 23 years in ex-Bourbon casks and ex-Sherry casks, then refined in French oak barrels having contained exceptional wines from the Champagne region. The result of this unique finish is therefore of rare intensity with aromas of toasted bread, brioche, slightly lemony and floral.

This special edition of Chichibu single malt marks the return of a series entitled "On the Way", previously used by the distillery to showcase the various stages of maturation before the release of their first official 10-year-old whisky in 2020.
