This Lagavulin whisky has been made more sweet by the influence of active oak. Henri Giraud Hommage au Pinot Noir is, as its name suggests, a Blanc de Noirs Champagne made from the historic terroirs of the House in Aÿ. This grape variety brings a lot of roundness, complexity and elegance, enhanced by aging in small oak barrels.

At each stage of the tasting, Oban surprises with its character halfway between land and sea. It is a reflection of the terroir from which this malt comes: the Western Highlands. To accentuate the flavors of iodine and sea air during Oban's second maturation, its master distiller chose Fino Montilla casks, which enhance the elegance of the malt with delicate, woody notes.
