The Collection Privée mention is reserved for a few bottles, only in great vintages, which are set aside for prolonged aging in the cellars of Maison Franck Bonville. This 2007 vintage is made from Chardonnay from the Grand Cru terroir of Avize.
The Franck Bonville House is a family-owned estate renowned for its exceptional champagnes, located in the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne. With over 60 years of history, the house stands out for its expertise in producing champagnes made primarily from Chardonnay, the emblematic grape of the region. Authenticity, finesse, and purity are the key qualities that define Franck Bonville’s cuvées.
The champagnes from the house are made exclusively from vines planted in prestigious terroirs, mainly classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru, allowing for the production of wines with great elegance. The house focuses on sustainable viticulture and meticulous winemaking to produce champagnes that combine freshness, complexity, and aromatic richness. The cuvées are aged for extended periods in the cellar to fully express the potential of the grapes and the terroirs.
The Franck Bonville Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is one of the flagship cuvées of the house, offering vibrant freshness accompanied by delicate citrus and white flower notes. Other cuvées, such as the Franck Bonville Millésimé, provide additional richness and depth, appreciated by connoisseurs. Franck Bonville champagnes are cherished for their finesse and ability to delight the most discerning palates.
Nicolas Maillart Rosé Grand Cru is a very technical cuvée that begins in the vineyard with the selection of plots of old Pinot Noir from the best terroirs of Bouzy. The estate uses the "saignee" method, i.e. the Pinot Noir grapes will macerate for a few hours to obtain the rosé color. Then, the Chardonnay is blended with the Pinot Noir to give freshness to this Cuvée.
Grand Cellier is a daring Champagne, all in elegance with a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir from Premier Cru vines in the village of Rilly-la-Montagne. The wines spend 10 months aging in oak barrels to bring power and complexity.
