A Fourth Growth from the Médoc, Château Saint-Pierre 1996 showcases the finesse and structure of Saint-Julien in a vintage known for its aging potential. With nearly 30 years of cellaring, it now displays a rich bouquet of ripe blackcurrant, leather, cedar, and blond tobacco. The palate is structured yet smooth, with fine, integrated tannins and a refined finish.
Light yellow color with lime reflections. Very round attack and intense bouquet mixing the fruits of the sun with a hint of pineapple with mineral notes of flint. The palate is marked by a long path ending on a seductive salinity.
1990 vintage: Bud break and flowering were very early and followed by a very hot and dry summer with some stormy rains at the end of August. The late season was also optimal and allowed the harvest of perfectly ripe grapes. Exceptional year!
