Charmes de Kirwan 2021 is a Margaux red wine blended from 42% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Petit Verdot and 14% Cabernet Franc.
It shows a beautiful ruby/cherry colour.
On the nose: ripe red fruits (cherry, blackcurrant), evolving into liquorice and marzipan notes.
On the palate: supple and fresh, with fine, silky tannins, good acidity — Petit Verdot brings tension and length.
It’s elegant, aromatic and approachable young, yet structured enough for some cellaring.
