Singleton of Glendullan 14 Year Old “The Silken Gown” Special Release 2023 is a perfectly balanced single malt, delicious and easy to taste. Finished in French oak Chardonnay barrels from Burgundy, these barrels were able to give this balanced whiskey a beautiful summery and soft shine.
The Publican barley used for this edition was grown in field 43ac and harvested at the end of August 2009. It was dried and stored on the farm before being malted at Alloa in 2010. The single malt comes from twenty-seven first-fill bourbon casks, distilled in December 2011. It was aged in the upper part of the cellar until 2024, before being bottled.
