Avize Champ Cain is part of the Lieux-dits collection of Maison Jacquesson. This is a very confidential Champagne from 1,3 hectare plot of Chardonnay planted on the lieu-dit Champ Cain in the village of Avize. It is the second edition of vintage 2005 disgorged in 2023.
The Maison Jacquesson, founded in 1798 in Dizy near Épernay, is one of Champagne’s oldest and most prestigious houses. Renowned for its artisanal approach and commitment to excellence, the house prioritizes quality over quantity, producing Champagnes that embody the unique character of their terroir.
Managed by the Chiquet family since 1974, Jacquesson follows a philosophy rooted in sustainable viticulture and the pursuit of perfect balance in every cuvée. The vineyards, primarily located in Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages of the Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims, and Côte des Blancs, are meticulously tended to preserve biodiversity and enhance traditional grape varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
Jacquesson’s flagship range revolves around its Numbered Cuvées (e.g., the current 700 series), which showcase the finest vintages and precise blends of each year. The house also produces exceptional single-vineyard cuvées, such as Dizy Corne Bautray and Avize Champ Caïn, true gems of the Champagne region.

Bruno Paillard Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is made from Chardonnay Première presse, coming exclusively from grands crus from the heart of the famous “Côte des Blancs”. A large proportion of reserve wines (25 vintages since 1985) are incorporated into the blend.
Cuvée 743 DT from Maison Jacquesson is the second edition of Cuvée 743 made from the 2015 harvest from the terroirs of Ay, Dizy, Hautvilliers and Champillon (60%) as well as the terroirs of Avize and Oiry (40%). A few reserve wines from the Domaine complete the blend.
Bruno Paillard Dosage Zéro is a selection from the first pressing of the three grape varieties and for the majority vinified in small oak barrels. The “reserve wines” account for half of the blend. The aging is extended well beyond the legal duration: 3 to 4 years in bottle "on the lees" followed by 6 months of rest after disgorging. Dosage: zero.
Roger Brun Ay la Pelle 2019 is a 100% Pinot Noir Champagne coming exclusively from the "La Pelle" plot located on the Ay terroir classified as Grand Cru.
