Monopoly of Domaine Chanson in the heart of the Premiers Crus of Beaune. The 3.80 hectare vineyard is located mid-slope. Le Clos des Fèves was listed as early as 1307 under the Latin name "Fae" (beech in Latin).

Volnay Clos des Santenots 1er Cru is a 1.19 hectare plot, a monopoly of Domaine Jacques Prieur. This unique terroir is located in the heart of the Santenots du Milieu, on brown soil, rich in manganese, resting on hard limestone, rounded like pierced stones.

The wine is rich, fatty and generous from the attack with notes of red fruits and ripe black fruits. Very round and silky, with supple and tender tannins. This is the very image of the style of Volnay wines. Cave Privée Edition of only 120 bottles.

With a geological structure similar to the Grands Crus and a very beautiful exposure, the Montée de Tonnerre terroir ranks among the “greatest” of the Premiers Crus.  Complex bouquet with floral, fruity aromas with intense mineral notes. Full-bodied palate in its youth evolving towards subtlety and elegance after a few years.
