On their rock terrace, the Musigny and the Petits Musigny overlook the Clos de Vougeot, facing the rising sun. Les Beaux Monts lies to the north-west of the village of Vosne-Romanée, on a steep slope (10% gradient) at the exit of the Combe Brûlée. The altitude of the plot varies from 277 to 289 meters. The plot faces east-south-east. The reddish-brown soil is characterized by a large quantity of light-colored limestone and chailles (silica nodules).
