Caroni

The renowned Caroni distillery ceased operations in 2002, putting an end to the production of "heavy" rums in Trinidad. These rums, aged for many years from an increasingly limited stock, stand up well to the passage of time. This edition was aged for 20 years before being bottled at its natural 63% proof.

This exceptional new Caroni bottling, offered in a 50 cl format, was distilled in 2000 and aged for 18 years in Trinidad, where the tropical climate caused an 80% loss of its volume. It then spent an additional 7 years maturing in a demijohn, allowing its aromas to reach their full expression while retaining a unique texture.
