Ichiro's Malt&Grain World Blend Whisky Limited Edition follows the same logic as the flagship product in the Ichiro's Malt&Grain range. Indeed, it is composed of grains from different countries, making it a "World Blend Whisky" as Chichibu describes it, thus emphasizing transparency. In contrast, this limited edition is a blend of whiskies over 10 years old, and is distinguished by the inclusion of malt from Chichibu's oldest stocks.
Chichibu is an independent Japanese distillery founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, the heir to a long lineage of sake and whisky makers. Located in the mountainous region of Saitama, northwest of Tokyo, Chichibu has quickly become a symbol of the new wave of Japanese whisky. Despite its small size, the distillery focuses on artisanal craftsmanship, high-quality ingredients, and precise aging in a wide variety of casks. Produced in limited quantities, Chichibu whiskies are highly sought after worldwide for their aromatic richness, balance, and distinctive character.

In 1984, Blanton's was the first single barrel bourbon to restore American whiskey to its former glory, and later released a Gold version at 103 proof (51.5% alc). Blanton's features a higher percentage of rye in its recipe, making it drier and spicier (cinnamon and nutmeg). It offers notes of dark fruit, pecan, oak and a touch of sweetness with honey and vanilla.
