The Dalmore is a legendary Highland distillery, founded in 1839 by Sir Alexander Matheson on the Cromarty Firth at Black Isle (“big meadow” in Gaelic) . Now owned by Whyte & Mackay, it’s famous for multi-stage maturation—first in bourbon casks, then finished in rare sherry casks hand-selected by Richard Paterson and Gregg Glass . The iconic 12‑point Royal Stag emblem reflects its heritage and potency.
