Maison Vilmart & Cie – The Artisan Excellence of Champagne
Founded in 1890 in Rilly-la-Montagne, Maison Vilmart & Cie is a family-owned, independent house that embodies Champagne excellence through a unique artisanal approach. For five generations, it has crafted characterful champagnes with precision and deep respect for its terroir.
Located in a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, Vilmart carefully tends its 11-hectare vineyard, embracing environmentally conscious viticulture. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, nurtured in chalky soils, undergo meticulous vinification, exclusively in oak barrels—a rare practice that lends the champagnes a silky texture and remarkable aromatic depth.
The house avoids malolactic fermentation, preserving the wines’ freshness and purity. Its flagship cuvée, Cœur de Cuvée, made from the oldest vines, epitomizes the Vilmart style: a perfect balance of power, finesse, and elegance.
Highly regarded by connoisseurs and sommeliers worldwide, Vilmart & Cie remains one of Champagne’s best-kept secrets, blending tradition with innovation to create truly exceptional wines, crafted for emotion and fine dining.
