Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house. Its story began with Dom Thierry Ruinart, a visionary monk who foresaw the potential of sparkling wine in aristocratic society. His nephew, Nicolas Ruinart, made this vision a reality after a royal decree by Louis XV allowed Champagne to be transported in bottles.
Ruinart is renowned for its dedication to Chardonnay, which gives its cuvées unmatched elegance and freshness. Its Blanc de Blancs is iconic, while Dom Ruinart, made exclusively from grand cru vineyards, represents the pinnacle of excellence. Cuvée 743 DT from Maison Jacquesson is the second edition of Cuvée 743 made from the 2015 harvest from the terroirs of Ay, Dizy, Hautvilliers and Champillon (60%) as well as the terroirs of Avize and Oiry (40%). A few reserve wines from the Domaine complete the blend.
