The Lanson house was founded in 1760 by François Delamotte in Reims, the heart of the Champagne region. In 1798, Nicolas-Louis Delamotte, the founder’s son, adopted the Maltese Cross as the house’s emblem, symbolizing its commitment to the Order of Malta and values of kindness, integrity, and respect.
Over the centuries, Lanson has built an international reputation through its expertise and unique style. Unlike most producers, the house avoids malolactic fermentation, a choice that gives its Champagnes exceptional freshness and aging potential.
