Emmanuel Rouget

The Emmanuel Rouget estate is deeply tied to the legacy of one of Burgundy’s greatest figures, Henri Jayer, Emmanuel’s uncle and a pioneer of modern winemaking in the region. Trained by this winemaking master, Emmanuel Rouget took over his uncle’s parcels in the late 1980s when Henri Jayer retired. Rouget thus inherited exceptional expertise and some of Burgundy’s most prestigious vineyards.

Based in Flagey-Echézeaux, the estate cultivates vineyards in legendary appellations such as Échézeaux Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée, and Corton-Charlemagne. Emmanuel Rouget has preserved his uncle’s legacy while bringing his own perspective and modern approach to viticulture and winemaking. His philosophy emphasizes deep respect for the terroir, sustainable vineyard practices, and minimal intervention during vinification to best express the uniqueness of each plot.
