The history of the Méo-Camuzet house dates back to the 19th century when the estate was founded by the Méo family in the Côte de Nuits region, in the heart of Burgundy. From the beginning, the family took great care in producing exceptional wines by selecting prestigious vineyard parcels, particularly in appellations like Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, and Clos de Vougeot.
The estate has been enriched and developed over generations, with ongoing efforts to maintain high quality and respect traditional viticultural practices while introducing modern methods to improve the precision and excellence of the wines.
One of the key moments in the house’s history is the alliance with the Camuzet family in the 1950s. This union helped expand the estate and ensure greater stability. Today, the estate is meticulously managed by Jean-Nicolas Méo, who continues to carry on the family legacy and ensures that the wines produced honor the tradition and excellence of Burgundy’s terroirs.
