Luminary N°3 is the fruit of a collaboration between Whisky Makers Gregg Glass and Richard Paterson OBE, and architect Ben Dobbin (Foster + Partners), behind iconic projects such as Apple Park in California. This 17-year-old Single Malt embodies the meeting of technical precision and artistic inspiration.
After an initial ageing in ex-bourbon casks, Luminary N°3 has benefited from exceptional maturation in a selection of seven rare casks: Calvados, Calvados Vintage 1989 and 1999, Xérès Matusalem, Xérès Apostoles, red wine casks from Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A rich, complex blend reflecting The Dalmore's mastery and elegance.
This third and final chapter in the Luminary collection pays tribute to the value of time, the nobility of materials and creative heritage.
The Dalmore is a legendary Highland distillery, founded in 1839 by Sir Alexander Matheson on the Cromarty Firth at Black Isle (“big meadow” in Gaelic) . Now owned by Whyte & Mackay, it’s famous for multi-stage maturation—first in bourbon casks, then finished in rare sherry casks hand-selected by Richard Paterson and Gregg Glass . The iconic 12‑point Royal Stag emblem reflects its heritage and potency. From core expressions (12‑15‑18‑25 years) to prestige releases (Luminary, 45yo, King Alexander III…), Dalmore delivers elegance, rich flavours (candied orange, chocolate, spice, dried fruit) and masterful cask work .
Waterford Lacken Peated (50 % ABV, 70 cl) is a bold Irish single malt, made from Arcadian barley grown on Lacken farm (County Wexford) and peated to ~57 ppm. It delivers a colorful, full-bodied peated profile: intensely salty, oily, and rich . The nose bursts with vibrant coastal smoke, white fruit, green tea, and hay, perfectly balancing the malt’s robustness ....

This elegant 12 year old Highland Single Malt is finished in three different styles of aged Oloroso Sherry casks, balancing nutty flavours with the influence of sweet Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.
Art & Decadence is crafted using malt whisky from the Balmenach Distillery, which has been finished for almost a year in three different types of ex-wine casks - Madeira, Sauternes, and Marsala. These wine casks contribute flavors of juicy fruit and honey to the inherent sweetness of the Balmenach whisky. Additionally, the blend includes malt whisky from the Linkwood...
The Publican barley used for this edition was grown in field 43ac and harvested at the end of August 2009. It was dried and stored on the farm before being malted at Alloa in 2010. The single malt comes from twenty-seven first-fill bourbon casks, distilled in December 2011. It was aged in the upper part of the cellar until 2024, before being bottled.
