This Cuvée is made from a perpetual reserve (solera) with wines dating from 2003 to 2020 and refreshed each year with 50% of the new harvest. This « Longue Garde » version of the Cuvée Eugène demonstrates the Meunier's ability to age while retaining all its freshness and tension with aging « sur lattes » for 60 months compared to 18 months for the Cuvée Eugène.
Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Collection embodies the interpretation of a particular year by the cellar master, thus revealing the unique personality of each vintage. 1996 is the 64th vintage of Moët & Chandon since 1842. Maturity is evident with warm notes of harvest, wax, cake, or cashew nuts.
