On the palate, the attack is round and velvety, the wine is thick, with a nice discreet woodiness and very silky tannins. The finish is elegant.

1990 vintage: Bud break and flowering were very early and followed by a very hot and dry summer with some stormy rains at the end of August. The late season was also optimal and allowed the harvest of perfectly ripe grapes. Exceptional year!
Château Haut Marbuzet 2021 is a well-balanced wine. The wood is perceptible but well integrated, and the black fruit aromas are intense. It's a seductive wine that can be enjoyed both young and after a few years' ageing.
A Fifth Growth from Pauillac, Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2001 captures the classic power and refinement of the appellation in a beautifully matured vintage.
