Copper color tending towards mahogany, golden reflections. Viscosity underlined by persistent legs. A nose releasing delicate floral fragrances, aromas of dried fruits. The woodiness and the rancio are all in nuances. This set of aromatic notes reveals a beautiful harmony. The attack is discreet, the mid-palate reveals the delicacy of the aromas.
Maxime Trijol Fins Bois 1974 is a rich vintage and bears witness to the beautiful complexity of the Cognac terroir through its subtle notes: violet, notes of "fresh hazelnut" or even roasted hazelnut are melted with the notes of wood.
A.E. Dor Vieille Reserve N°9 comes from a few carboys of a blend of very old Grande Champagne Eaux-de-vie (80%) and very old Fins Bois (20%). The quality of this great Cognac comes from this very long aging in barrels until it reaches 40% alcohol by natural evaporation.
Maison Prunier offers these old vintage Cognacs "brut de fûts", produced in just a few hundred bottles per vintage. This edition comes from the 1978 harvest from the Borderies terroir and bottled with its natural alcohol degree. Supplied in a wooden box.
