Creation by Henri Martin, unique in its kind since this vineyard has been built up piece by piece over several years by the purchase of those coming mainly from Grands Crus Classés in 1855. The origin of the terroirs, the care taken in the cultivation and winemaking, explain its internationally recognized quality.

A Fifth Growth from Pauillac, Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2001 captures the classic power and refinement of the appellation in a beautifully matured vintage. The bouquet reveals ripe blackcurrant, cedar, leather, and tobacco notes. The palate is structured yet supple, with well-integrated tannins and a fresh, lingering finish.

1990 vintage: Bud break and flowering were very early and followed by a very hot and dry summer with some stormy rains at the end of August. The late season was also optimal and allowed the harvest of perfectly ripe grapes. Exceptional year!
